I started The Shift because the most important conversations about restaurant technology should involve the people running restaurants—not just the people building software.
My perspective comes from building GrubIQ, which focuses on using operating data to support timely, authorized decisions in multi-unit restaurants and measure what changed. That work shapes the questions I ask; it does not make every emerging idea a verified product capability or customer result.
Through The Shift, I want to examine AI, operational leadership, restaurant economics, and the gap between seeing a problem and acting on it. I also want to bring in perspectives from operators and industry experts, with their consent and proper attribution.
